    “an artistically inclined housewife”

Long Live Bad Taste was the first solo exhibition in Italy by Carol Civre, a 3D artist and digital stylist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
    C. Civre is among the first to have introduced digital artistic productions to the world of high-fashion retail and its advertising, experimenting in a playing field that is at the limit between market rules and free creative expression. Her work attempts to investigate the standards of beauty that belong to mainstream American and Western culture, making an extreme irony about the common imagination of luxury goods and their relationship to the existence of female forms in the digital space.
The exhibition was made thanks to Mirror Project - a long-term exhibition program created in collaboration with the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation.

The project was supported by Comune di Milano and sponsored by Vera Lab and was born to offer support to the artists affected by the war in Ukraine due to the Russian invasion and contribute to the normalization of their social life and professional activity. During the residency programme and the daily-life experience HOW YOU DARE? saw an incredible number of creative people coming from the underground queer scene of Ukraine to take part in the residency especially thanks to the main artists involved. Four studio-visits were organized, many appointments and activities and the final exhibition Rolling Refugee Home Museum on Wheels, which took place in the space of Ex Cisterne in April 2023.

Doppelgänger is the first performance and live DJ set in Italy by the Korean-American artist HASHIA presented in Turin thanks to the support of Associazione Bastione.
The event, curated by Antonella Prasse and Amina Berdin, was born from the desire to host the artist's research, centered on the themes of the sacred and the profane, in a peculiar place like that of Villa Rey.

HASHIA works through sound scenography, installations, music, DJ sets, poems and performances with the aim of investigating ancient mythologies, dreamscapes and ancestral memories. On the occasion of this event she presented Doppelgänger, an episode of the Hypermnesia series, in which he returns his dreams in the form of a sound experience. The performance premiered in 2021 at the Karlshorst Theater in Berlin as part of a collaborative project for Cashmere Radio.

“Panic is the uncomfortable, it is yet the uncomfortable that allows you to constantly change position, and please don’t confuse the phases with the positions, rather focus on the need of oscillations. We try to stay in the oscillation, accepting the uncomfortable as a tool to oscillate and have an always performing backbone.”

On Thursday 15 September, at 19:00, Monomono Bar left its space in Via Reggio in Turin to the avant-garde creativity of the artistic collective Uncinetti Molesti.
